Self-Portrait VS the Selfie

What is a selfie?
A self taken photo where you are in control of the camera

What is a self-portrait?
           a picture by the artist

Is there a difference? If so, what?
             Everyone uses selfies

What style do you prefer? Why?
Frankly, neither, I don't take selfies or portraits that often like the typical white girl does. The last time I tried a selfie/portrait was a disaster.

Is one more valuable/important than the other? Why?
I'm guessing portrait because there's a lot of portraits by famous people.
Here's a selfie from my camera roll, it was the time I went out to explore in the woods behind my complex, and I was just feeling pretty so I snapped this delicate treasure for the world to glorify #woods #NewMakeup

Phobias

A phobia is a fear of something. Like heights or D E A T H. There's a lot of phobias, and a lot of them are pretty ridiculous. Like the 'fear of the color yellow'. That's a thing.

1. Hypsiphobia- Fear of height.
2. Acrophobia- Fear of heights.
3. Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia- Fear of the number 666.
4. Hierophobia- Fear of priests or sacred things.5. Hylophobia- Fear of forests.

Imagine...
Hamartophobia- Fear of sinning: A sign on a fence gates tells outsiders not to trespass, but there's already two teenagers climbing over it. In the same frame, watching his friends climb over, proceeding with their sinful act, he stands frighten.

Decidophobia- Fear of making decisions: A slice of cake and a cupcake are pushed into her direction. "Make a decision" they demand. Her face shows obvious fear as she is commanded of decision making. She freezes, and her decidophobia has ruined her life once again.

Automysophobia- Fear of being dirty: a woman in sitting in the middle of her bathroom. Her hand is deathly clutching a bar of soap, withering from her grasp. The blur of her arm and the suds shallowing her arm shows the obvious that she had been frantically cleaning herself. Her eyes madden with clean, and her face horrified of what she had allowed her body to be. Dirty.

Autophobia- Fear of being alone or of oneself: It's deserted of human life as a single person sits alone, curled in her own fear of isolation.

Ecophobia- Fear of home.
She stands in front of her door, her shoulders square, she's in the action of stepping back. In front of her is home. A place of fear.

Botanophobia- Fear of plants.
Sitting on the dirt with leaves stretching to her like grabby hands, ready to pull her into the plants.

Hypengyophobia or Hypegiaphobia- Fear of responsibility.
The angle of the camera is looking down, still able to see the fear on the girl's face as her staring gazes at a picture that says 'responsibility'.

My holiday

I had a pretty decent holiday like anyone else. Mom and I went to California as a road trip. It was pretty cool, and my dog wasn't as clingy and scared as last time, so I had a little more personal space then last time, but not that much. And arriving at California, we spent three days with my grandparents, then Christmas was really cool. We woke up really early to see what "Santa" brought, and then unwrapped the actual presents from my grandparents and mom. I had a lot of fun.

My new year resolution is to talk less, and just smile more. Following the words of Broadway Aaron Burr.  Also to be like myself, but better. Like Aubrie 2.0

What I expect of 2018 is something mellow. Like no dying celebrities, or YouTube drama. Just... normality, you know? We go to school normally, the internet doesn't get shut down by the FCC, YouTube is doing great and content is perfect. The drama is over, and we can live without worry. Drama sucks.

The "Best" song, The Best Movie, and News Story

The charts say Ed Sheeran, but my heart says Logic.

Ed Sheehan won the hearts of many with his song, The Shape of You, which sounds perverted but apparently isn't? Haven't heard it. He's top charts, heart throb, yada yada yada blah blah.
In my opinion, I found Logic's 1-800-273-8255 a little more... how do I put this... better. For one thing, the name of the song
is literally the suicide hotline. It's a story about suicide prevention, which is a big thing with
Logic
teenagers. It's also about relation between two dudes. And I don't mean to play the gay card,
but... consider that card played.

And what's Shape of You About?
Sex. Sex and woman's bodies.
And what's a problem popping up between genders?
Rape. Rape and woman's bodies.

Also...
"Grab my was it and put that body on me" - Shape of You

"I don't wanna be alive"
"I want you to be alive"
"You don't gotta die today" - 1-800-273-8255

Need I say more?

The best movie of 2017 is "Get Out", a horror movie. I have no problem with this. I figured it would be a horror movie, because those seemed to be really popular. I don't like horror movies, but it's cool if others do. Nothing attracted me to it, just the ranking. It's got a 99% out of a hundred, and that's pretty cool.

A popular new story is the London Attack, and recently reading a story about a shooter, if found somber feelings to the attack. Not that I didn't before. But s

Pictures from 2017

It's amazing what people can do to each other if taken consideration, and gratitude. People had been blinded by rage and difference lately, it's hard to see what goodness the world can possess. My mom always tells me to be positive, and those sappy quotes tell me to be positive, but with the news behind Trump, the deal with Jake Paul--and the suicide picture--and even school itself, I don't know how to keep going on this positivity route.

I think it's great picturing, how the darkness is enveloping them, but the Power of Friendship™ can probably save them.  I once saw this video where this couple had a family of lions, and everything was really cool, until the video showed the lion 'attacking' the guy--I think the lion bit him a little too hard, but nothing too serious--and all of the comments were like, "That guy deserved that cut, what a jerk for keeping those lions captive!" like... no. He got slightly injured, and you're blaming him? I'm not blaming the animals, just show a little remorse. I try not to read the YouTube comments anymore.
I've seen the hatred swarming the Trumps. It's hard not to, but the only sole reason I chose this picture is to rant about it. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very somber picture. And I like how Mrs. Obama has a red dress on, and Trump has a red tie, and Mr. Obama has a blue tie, and Mrs. Trump is wearing blue dress. Anyway, I don't know what Trump has done for all of this rage to him, but he's still the president, and he deserves some respect. Someone ruined his concert star in Hollywood--or something--and people praised it. It's sad to see and read that people have lost their morals of respect, and kindness.

Also teenagers need to stay out of politics.
